Some friends visited from Perth last week so Rob and I took them to the zoo. Because Melbourne Zoo is awesome. Here's some of the highlights...
The Meerkats had just had babies, and they were keeping them warm by snuggling up all together.
LOOK AT ITS LITTLE FACE!
These are the feet and trunk of Bong Su, the male Asian Elephant.
The female elephants and the two babies were walking in a line holding on to each other's tails.
Baby elephants may just be the cutest baby anythings in the world, btw. This isn't specifically a fact, more a personal observation. But still, it's totally true.
The hand of one of the Sumatran Orang-utans...
...And her beautiful face.
Have I already ranted about palm oil and what it's doing to Orang-utan habitat? Hmm? Oh, I have? Well, here's a refresher none the less.
The Ring-Tailed Lemurs were particularly 'active', if you catch my meaning. No? Oh well. Actually, so were all the monkeys now I think about it. Must have been something in the air.
A Capuchin giving another Capuchin a hand massage. Or so it seemed.
And that's about it for this week!
Happy Sunday :)
